The bishop gives it some thought and ultimately lifts the suspension, much to Billy’s glee, but things take a shocking turn when he accompanies Paul to the doctors, where Paul is told by the MND nurse that he only has 6 to 12 months to live.
Elsewhere on the street, Carla Connor (Alison King) returns from a fruitless business trip to find Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell) back at the factory, with Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) having reinstated him.
There’s more horror ahead as Carla and Sarah realise that they’ve got no way of paying the staff due to Stephen Reid’s (Todd Boyce) scheming – that is, unless they can complete the new client order by tomorrow.
Will they succeed?
We’ll just ave to wait and see but it’s not looking good, with Carla lying to the staff, assuring them that they will be paid, but the employees later uncover the truth and down their tools. Carla and Sarah make it quite clear that, if they don’t help, the factory is finished.
But will their words have any effect?

Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne), meanwhile, is left with food for thought when George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) remarks that the Rovers is an eyesore since being boarded up.
The teens break into the pub, with Mason betting that Dylan will cop off with Leyla, leaving Dylan embarrassed. Dylan and Leyla subsequently kiss, with Leyla suggesting they go upstairs – just as Sean (Antony Cotton) and George arrive!
