Samantha Bond replied to fans on Twitter who raised concerns for the actress’s wellbeing after she appeared to ‘shake’ during her Loose Women appearance on Monday.

The 61-year-old Miss Moneypenny star was visibly in some sort of discomfort while chatting to the show’s panel – Ruth Langsford, Coleen Nolan, Janet Street-Porter and Kelly Holmes – about her latest TV series.

Starring in a new thriller, The Inheritance, the Downton Abbey joined the ladies to explain why she was so interested in the ITV project’s script – however caught the attention of fans for a very different reason.

Loose Women watchers flooded Twitter with message of concern after they noticed the actress shaking while she spoke.

One penned: ‘Can someone check that Sam is ok. Although very articulate and gorgeous, she was shaking throughout the interview . Thank you.’

Another said: ‘Hope Samantha is ok. She was shaking through that entire interview x’, while a separate account noted: ‘Watching Samantha bond on loose women. Why is she shaking so much? I hope it’s just nerves and that she’s not unwell.’

‘Why is Samantha Bond shaking so much ?  #loosewomen,’ a worried fan asked on the platform now known as X.

Before long, Samantha picked up on the comments and set the record straight by replying to the messages and offered reassurance she wasn’t suffering with a long term illness.

She penned via her personal account: ‘Frozen shoulder. Nothing worse. X.’

The actress dished the behind-the-scenes news from the drama that was filmed in Kilkenny, Ireland and revealed a difficult director meant the shift was longer than it should have been.

‘It wouldn’t happen on Downton,’ she explained to Janet as she retold stories of working late into the night after eating dinner with the cast in the local area.

The new Channel 5 show is a four-part thriller and also starred James Collier, Kevin Whately, Gaynor Faye, Jemima Rooper, Larry Lamb and Pauline McLynn from Father Ted.

The Inheritance was created by Doc Martin writer Aschlin Ditta and old the story of three feuding siblings fighting over a will after the death of their father.

Loose Women airs weekdays from 12.30pm on ITV1.
