What time is Volodomyr Zelensky’s speech to the Commons and how to watch it?
The Metro says Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is set to give a speech to MPs in the Commons on Tuesday, as the Russian invasion of Ukraine continues.
Speaker of the house Sir Lindsay Hoyle described the speech as ‘an important opportunity for the house’, saying he was pleased to grant Mr Zelensky’s ‘historic’ request to address them.
MPs will be able to watch the speech on screens installed inside the chamber, and will have his words translated into English in real-time, although there will be no questions afterwards.
It comes one week after he addressed the European Parliament, receiving a standing ovation and leaving his translator emotional as he told them ‘Nobody is going to break us, we are strong’.
