X Factor star Janet Devlin has detailed the injuries she suffered after collapsing in a hotel corridor while she was alone.
The Irish singer, 28, who appeared in the 2011 edition of the Simon Cowell show, which was eventually won by Little Mix, said the incident happened on Wednesday night.
She explained on Twitter that after the collapse she fell unconscious but was unsure how long for and ‘went to work the next day as normal’ until she started experiencing pain.
The musician also shared a picture of herself in a hospital bed with a bandage around her arm, as well as another one of her with a visibly swollen jaw.
Janet wrote: ‘I woke up with a swollen jaw and a really painful wrist. I thought I had an abscess in my gum and slept funny on my wrist. I was wrong.
‘I actually smashed my jaw on the floor and my wrist too. Luckily I’m fine. My bloods are normal. Nothing is broken. I’ll be getting a referral to look into the heart again. Oh and resting up!’

Janet has previously opened up about her experience on The X Factor and claimed she was told by producers to appear more emotional.

She said: ‘I was being quite emotionless, which got on their nerves. They said how do you expect anyone to connect with you unless you let your guard down? Eventually, I cried. It was horrible.’
During filming for the show, Janet’s grandfather sadly died, which meant more tears on camera.

‘They asked what happened, I cried and that was it. I needed to address it because the fact he’d passed away had already trended on Twitter,’ she explained.
It taught me that opening up sometimes isn’t necessarily a bad thing – but it’s a lot for a 16-year-old to deal with, to open yourself up to millions of people like that.’
Janet won the most number of votes on the show for four consecutive weeks – until she appeared to forget the words to Hanson’s Mmmbop, which sent her packing.

However, she explained it wasn’t a case of amnesia and instead was the result of bile coming up through her throat mid-song after eating a ‘massive dinner.’
‘I felt a bit ill and when I was singing I felt bile coming up in my throat, swallowed it, and lost my place in the song,’ she said. ‘I just thought: “Please don’t throw up on national TV.”’
