WSL: Super League fixtures this weekend – Arsenal face Chelsea at the Emirates in front of record crowd of 57,000Â
After a few weeks off for the final international break of the year (heartbreak for the Lionesses) the Women’s Super League (WSL) returns for the December run of the season.
The big match – Arsenal vs Chelsea – will be played at the Emirates, and already a massive 57,000 tickets have been sold for the match. It’ll mark the biggest sold-out stadium for a women’s domestic game.Â
Unbeaten Chelsea currently lead the WSL table by three points from the Gunners – whose Jonas Eidevall is the league’s Manager of the Month – but Manchester City will overtake Arsenal on goal difference if they win Saturday’s meeting with Aston Villa, who are just two points above the bottom two.
Fourth-placed Manchester United visit sixth-in-the-table Tottenham in the Sunday evening match, with the visitors three points better off.
Brighton are one point short of Leicester City whom they host, basement side Bristol City go to Liverpool while West Ham – goal-difference off the bottom – have home advantage over Everton.
