WSL fixtures – Sunday 18/02 – four more fixtures before the international break
The WSL returns on Sunday with four fixtures to watch.
Yesterday, Arsenal thrashed Manchester United 3-1 in front of a sold-out crowd of 60,160 at the Emirates. The win gives the Gunners a boost in their bid for the WSL title after a tough couple of games. Arsenal are now just three points off the top two.
For Manchester United, their loss has seriously harmed their hopes of qualifying for next year’s Champions League – and their hopes of the WSL title are now virtually over.
On Friday, the two best teams of the season so far – Chelsea and City went head-to-head at Kingsmeadow. Manchester City’s 1-0 win over Chelsea, means they are now level on points with the defending champions at the top of the table.
Today’s matches will be the last before the international break – with several stars already heading back to their home nations.
The WSL returns on Saturday 2 March 2024.
