Auckland terror attack: Multiple people stabbed inside supermarket by ‘lunatic’ knifeman
The Mirror says a violent extremist who carried out an ‘ISIS inspired’ terror attack on a shopping mall, stabbing multiple people, has been shot dead by police.
Shoppers screamed in terror and fled for their lives out of the supermarket in Auckland, New Zealand, after several people were attacked by a man armed with a knife.
Three people are said to be in a critical condition in hospital, while one is in a serious condition and two in ‘moderate’ conditions.
In a press conference New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said the attack was ‘ISIS inspired’ and was motivated by ‘violent ideology.’
