A teenager faces investigation after she allegedly racially abused and threatened phone shop staff for refusing her a refund.

Footage shows the 19-year-old woman pulling items off the shelves and chucking them to the ground in front of workers at the ElectTronex store in Uxbridge, west London, on Saturday.

As dozens of phone accessories pile up on the ground, she is heard repeatedly swearing before calling one worker a ‘p***’ and threatening to spit in his face.

A group of shoppers can be seen watching in bewilderment from the shop entrance while her tirade continues.

Police eventually arrived and arrested her but she was released after the victim said he did not want to press charges.

However detectives are now investigating the footage and will return to the shop to speak with staff.

The incident appeared to begin with the teenager demanding to return the phone because she now ‘needed money to buy something’.

She tells staff she is trashing the store because they ‘refused to refund her’.

The worker tells the woman: ‘You are making an idiot out of yourself.’

She replies: ‘I don’t give a f*** – you should have just given me my f***ing money back then, p***.’

The worker remains calm even as she vows to ‘come back to the mobile phone shop every single day’.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: ‘Police were called at 1309hrs on Saturday, 8 June, to a shop in the Pavilions Shopping Centre in Uxbridge.

‘Officers attended and detained a 19-year-old woman who was said to have thrown items in the shop and been abusive towards staff.

‘The victim stated to the attending officers that he did not wish to provide a statement or make any criminal allegations. The woman was not arrested.

‘Officers are now aware of video subsequently published online, which includes racist comments and threats. This will be reviewed and officers will again speak with staff at the shop.’
