An 81-year-old woman was convicted of harassment after repeatedly throwing urine onto her neighbours’ patio, it has been reported.
Janine McKinlay, 81, appeared before City of London Magistrates’ Court following a dispute with Anastasia De Brauwere Brozler, whose home in London’s upmarket Chelsea neighbourhood adjoins hers.
Ms De Brauwere Brozler, 57, had noticed a ‘disgusting odour’ in the street-facing basement garden of her £5 million property which persisted for months, according to MailOnline.
‘Every time you opened the door this pungent smell of urine would enter the house and we could not open our window. There is also a ventilator that is permanently open that drew in the smell,’ she told the court.

‘It was absolutely disgusting. I had to put scented candles everywhere. We could not use the kitchen and I could not work there even though I need running water.’
Her husband began suspecting their neighbour after hearing the sound of liquid splashing onto the patio quickly followed by a door slamming shut.

Ms McKinlay admitted to throwing her urine out of her door but insisted it was not aimed at her neighbours’ property or done with ‘malice’.
According to MailOnline, she told the court: ‘I have an arthritic knee and a collapsed vertebra and I cannot always get upstairs or downstairs to the toilet due to mobility issues.’
Calling the jug her ‘weapon of mass destruction’, she added: ‘It is not very ladylike, I understand that.’
She was ordered to pay more than £3,500 in costs and was handed a 12-month restraining order barring contact with the victims.
She was described as a landlord earning £84,000 a year from renting out commercial properties.
