A woman and two dogs have been killed in a hit-and-run crash in Chigwell, Essex.
The 48-year-old was walking with two dogs on Manford Way when she was hit by a car, believed to be a white Seat Leon.
Emergency services were called at 5.09pm on Friday but she was declared dead at the scene.
The woman’s family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. The two dogs were also killed in the crash.
The driver of the car failed to stop at the scene, and the Seat Leon was found nearby shortly after the collision.
No arrests have been made and inquiries are ongoing to trace the registered keeper of the vehicle, the force said.
