Glow Up: Britains Next Make-Up Star is a delightful watch from start to finish, showcasing some of the nation’s most promising and talented make-up stars.
It’s been a whirlwind journey for the artists taking part in the 2023 series on BBC Three hosted by Leomie Anderson, with four of the contestants making it to the final: Axel, Keiran, Roo and Saphron.
There were supposed to originally be only three MUAs in the final, but both Keiran and Roo impressed enough to make it through to a four-person final.
After their number was whittled down to three ahead of the important presentations to industry experts, with Keiran finishing in fourth place, the new winner of Glow Up was announced… with artistic force that is Saphron taking the crown.
Saphron was in a state of shock after her win was announced, exclaiming: ‘Oh my god!’ as confetti rained down on her.
‘I did it!’ she told the cameras. ‘Hopefully I’ve inspired more people to do stuff like this and really go for it, no matter what.’

The artist continued: ‘Even if you think you’re shy, you’re probably not. You just need to get out of your comfort zone.’
Fans of the BBC Three were overjoyed by Saphron’s win, with one tweeting: ‘So pleasantly surprised and such a deserving winner.’
‘Buzzing!! I love Glow Up so much! One of the best competition programmes and judged so well and so fairly. Very very happy with the winner again this year,’ someone else said.

When it was announced that Saphron would be taking part in Glow Up, she wrote on Instagram that it was a ‘dream come true’ to take part.
‘If you know me, you know I am such a big fan of Glow Up so this is literally a dream come true right now, can’t believe I’m actually typing this currently🥺,’ she said in her post shared in April this year.
