Emmerdale aired an almighty twist in recent scenes which saw the identity of Chloe Harris’ (Jessie Elland) dad revealed as Damon Harris (Robert Beck) – though regular viewers will know him better as his nickname, Harry.
After doing a runner from the village in an attempt to get Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) out of her life, Chloe called on her dad to help her start a new life, asking him for a fresh identity, as well as a new passport and bank account.
When she revealed that Mack had chosen to save Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) in their near-fatal car crash instead of her, Damon promised to sort things.
But exactly who is Damon, and should Mack be worried?

Who is Chloe’s dad, Damon Harris?
Until very recently, we didn’t know a lot about the identity of Chloe’s biological dad.
What we did know was that he wasn’t someone to be messed with – a criminal who kept tabs on his daughter at every moment of the day, using his minions to report back on her every move.
Chloe, understandably fed up by this, soon rebelled and was kicked out of the family home, left to fend for herself.
She later discovered that her biological mum, Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) had once worked for Damon.

When Chloe called her dad for help yesterday, we were finally introduced to Damon, who we recognised instantly as Harry.
Harry first appeared on our screens in August 2023, and soon became embroiled in a bitter feud with Cain Dingle and Caleb Milligan (Jeff Hordley and William Ash).
In October, he left the Dingles in turmoil when he kidnapped Chas (Lucy Pargeter) in revenge for Cain double-crossing him.
We’ve seen Harry deal in drugs, guns and other nasty things, so it is clear he is not someone to be crossed.

Though Harry disappeared from our screens in October, he has still been hanging around the vicinity of the Emmerdale village, as he revealed that he knew all about the turn Chloe’s life had taken, explaining that he’d ‘made an arrangement’ with the nurses to allow him to hold her hand at night while she was in hospital following the crash.
Now that he has returned as Damon, there is trouble on the horizon for Mack, who will soon find himself facing the gangster’s terrifying wrath…
Who plays Damon Harris?
Damon is played by actor Robert Beck, who is no stranger to the world of soap.

Back in 1999, Robert played another Emmerdale role, Gavin Ferris, who was the boyfriend of Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles), though this character has no connection whatsoever to Damon.
Robert has also appeared in Coronation Street, Hollyoaks, Doctors and Brookside.
Soaps are a family affair in his house, as his wife just happens to be Coronation Street legend Jane Danson, who has played Leanne Battersby since 1997.
