Manchester United have booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Europa League with the draw for the next round and the semi-finals taking place on Friday.
After a 4-1 victory in last week’s first leg, United put the tie against Real Betis to bed on Thursday with a hard-fought 1-0 win in Seville.
Marcus Rashford scored the game’s only goal, lashing home a wonderful effort from 25 yards having missed a sitter just minutes earlier.
Arsenal has hoped to join them but crashed out of the competition after a penalty shoot out defeat to Sporting Lisbon.
After a thrilling 2-2 draw in the first leg, Granit Xhaka got the Gunners off to a perfect start after 19 minutes only for Pereira Gonçalves to level the tie with a sensational goal of the season contender, beating Aaron Ramsdale from the half-way line.
After extra time, it was Gabriel Martintelli who missed from 12 yards as Sporting marched on.
For United, Juventus and Jose Mourinho’s Roma represent two glamour options at this stage of the competition.
Six-time winners Sevilla are also in the draw having survived their last 16 test against Fenerbahce while Feyenoord laid down a serious marker, thrashing Shakhtar Donetsk 7-1 at home to seal an 8-2 aggregate victory.

When does the draw for the Europa League round of 16 take place?
The Europa League quarter-final draw will take place on Friday, 17 March and will be hosted at UEFA’s headquarters, the House of European Football, in Nyon, Switzerland.

The draw is scheduled to get underway at 12pm.
The quarter-final draw will be immediately followed by the semi-final draw where sides will be really able to start plotting their way to the Puskas Arena where the final takes place on 31 May in Budapest.
Quarter-final ties will take place on 13 and 20 April. Semi-final ties will follow on 11 and 18 May.
