On Sunday, May 28, Britain’s Got Talent continued as it races towards the thrilling finale.
Sunday’s episode, presented by Ant and Dec as always, saw two more semi-finalists earn their spot in the grand final of the show’s 16th series – these two acts were Duo Odyssey and Malakai Bayoh.
They join confirmed finalists singer Amy Lou, dancer Musa Motha, 11-year-old singer Olivia Lynes, comedian Viggo Venn, singer Travis George and dance crew, Ghetto Kids, with two more semi-finalists to be decided in tonight’s show (June 2).
As we gear up for the final, let’s learn some more about Duo Odyssey…
Who are Duo Odyssey on BGT?
Duo Odyssey are an acrobatic duo consisting of married couple Max and Sophia.
The couple both come from Liverpool.
Max is thought to be 27, while Sophia is 33.
In their first audition for the show, the pair performed a routine to ‘Space Man’ by Eurovision hero Sam Ryder.
Judge Alesha Dixon told them their high-octane, high-in-the-sky routine left them ‘floating around… like some sort of god in heaven.’
Hard to top such praise.
But they did just that. With their latest semi-final routine, which saw them using a set of straps suspended from the ceiling, Simon told them: ‘I think this was a gigantic step up from your first audition.’
Who made it through the fourth semi-final of Britain’s Got Talent?
While Duo Odyssey made it through thanks to the public vote – after going to a deadlock with Simon Cowell and Alesha Dixon choosing to send through beatboxing artist MB14, instead – other acts weren’t as lucky.
Falling at the final hurdle to the final were:
Chickenshed UK
Kimoon Do
Boycanto
Noodle the Cat (who was revealed to be 2022 BGT finalist Tom Ball)
Felix Clements
MB14.
