Ugly Betty fans were given hope that we could get a reunion as America Ferrera confessed she’d ‘love’ to do a reboot.
The series began in 2006 and quickly earned a loyal fanbase who were disappointed when it ended after just four years.
The star cast could be getting back together over a decade later if America, 39, has anything to do with it.
While speaking at a Barbie premiere she told Access Hollywood: ‘I would love that. I think it’s like complicated but I would love it.’
Well, nothing good ever did come easy!
In the meantime, we can binge the show on Disney Plus and take a look at where the stars of the show are now…
America Ferrera (Betty Suarez)

It’s only natural we start with the actress behind the titular character.
America played Betty, who was an assistant at the fashion magazine Mode. Although, Ms. Suarez placement there initially seemed odd she soon proved to be an asset.
The 39-year-old has of course recently starred in Barbie as Mattel employee Gloria, who gives a powerful monologue on what it means to be a woman in 2023. Her ‘forever Ken’ Ryan Williams is featured as her husband on the film, which is useful as he is actually her husband.
She also had a major role in the NBC sitcom Superstore, which follows the lives of store employees. America starred as Amy from 2015-2021, and also served as a producer.
Vanessa Williams (Wilhelmina Slater)

Wilhelmina was always plotting and scheming as to how to overtake Daniel Meade and get the editor-in-chief role.
Unfortunately for Wilhelmina, it was often a case of blood being thicker than water for the Mead family. She won in the end though and that’s what matters!
Quickly after Ugly Betty, Vanessa, 60, took residency on Wisteria Lane as Renee Perry.
The Desperate Housewives stint earned her three Emmy nominations for outstanding actress in a comedy series gong.
Last year, she starred in the Broadway production, POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive. The original play follows seven women who try to guide a President out of a PR nightmare.
Tony Plana (Ignacio Suarez)

The Suarez family often provided the heart of the show, and Betty’s dad Ignacio was one of the key ingredients.
The supportive father was always there to offer Betty advice but had plenty of troubles of his including immigration status and health problems.
After the show, he quickly joined Vanessa on ABC’s Desperate Housewives playing Gabrielle Solis’ evil stepfather Alejandro Perez.
He clearly enjoyed working with his Ugly Betty co-stars, as he also played Ron Sosa on Superstore for three years.
His most recent work is in HBO’s White House Plumbers – the 71-year-old played a Cuban American operative in the Watergate scandal miniseries.
Eric Mabius (Daniel Meade)

Eric played bachelor Daniel, who at the start of the series spends more time romancing women than putting together the pages of the magazine.
His charm meant that the audience grew to love him, and Betty did too.
Now, Eric, 52, plays lead character Oliver O’Toole in the Hallmark films Signed, Sealed, Delivered. There have so far been 12 films in the series, with the most recent one airing in 2021.
The popular movies, which originally started as a TV series, follows four dedicated postal employees, who task themselves with tracking down intended recipients of undeliverable mail.
Eric would likely be happy to jump back into the world of Ugly Betty after his recent compliments.
‘We had an abrupt ending and I think that we all felt that we didn’t have enough time to finish telling the stories that needed to be told,’ he told TV Tonight.
‘I think Ugly Betty was ahead of its time and I think that it would be more timely right now than ever.
‘I continue to be proud of that, to be a part of such talent. It was probably the truest work family I’ve ever had.’
Ana Ortiz (Hilda Suarez)

Hilda and Betty were sister goals, and we loved watching the former’s beauty business flourish.
Ana, 52, went on to star in the Eva Longoria-produced show, Devious Maids, for four seasons. It took influence from Eva’s show Desperate Housewives but instead focused on Latino women.
She then played Victor’s mum in Hulu original Love, Victor for three series.
Mark Indelicato (Justin Suarez)

Rounding off the Suarez family is Hilda’s young son Justin, who is often the person Betty turns to when she needs fashion advice and wholesome fun.
The actor Mark, 29, is now all grown up and very much booked and busy.
His latest jobs include HBO’s comedy series Hacks and Amazon’s romance With Love.
Michael Urie (Marc St. James)

He may have given Betty a hard time, but his unwavering support and constant guidance for Justin when he was coming out made Marc a top-tier character.
The 42-year-old recently made Single All the Way, which has instantly become a holiday classic with Jennifer Coolidge starring as his character Peter’s aunt.
He is now working on the Emmy-nominated Apple TV Plus series Shrinking about a grieving therapist, who inserts himself in his clients’ lives alongside Harrison Ford, Bill Lawrence, and Jason Sege – a pretty impressive cast list.
Judith Light (Claire Meade)

Daniel’s mum, who was often just as conniving and menacing as Wilhelmina. She also murdered her ex’s lover – that was pretty bonkers.
The now 74-year-old has continued her impressive career, she played another villain in Dallas and was Emmy-nominated for playing Marilyn Miglin in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.
Rebecca Romijn (Alexis Meade)
Rebecca explained why she was cast as a trans character (Picture: Getty)
Rebecca, 50, played Daniel’s transgender sister Alexis. She has since spoken about why the show chose to hire a cisgender woman for the role.
‘The executives at the time didn’t love the idea of the character,’ she told The Independent.
‘There was a real boys’ club running the show behind the scenes at that point. So to try and make it palatable to the boys’ club… they pitched me. And I jumped at the chance.’
Even though she wouldn’t accept the role now, Rebecca added she felt the part ‘helped open doors’ for the trans community.
The actor and model went on to play Una Chin-Riley in the Star Trek franchise with credits on Star Trek: Discovery and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
