When will Winter Love Island 2023 end? Final episode date revealed

Love Island’s winter 2023 series has so far given us drama left right and centre, with Casa Amor causing fireworks, brutal double dumpings, break-ups and, of course, tension and tears.

And who could forget Movie Night, when Martin Akinola gleefully tucked into popcorn as love rival Shaq Muhammad saw what really happened between Martin and Tanya Manhenga.

But we all perhaps wish we could forget Casey’s hysterical trumpet solo during talent night.

For many of us, Love Island is the only thing getting us through the brutal cold snap this winter, and we wish it could go on forever.

Alas, the series is nearing its end and eventually two new Love Island champions will be crowned.

But when exactly could that be? Let’s find out.

When does Winter Love Island 2023 end?

Love Island is back for 2023

Kiss goodbye to your social life as Love Island is back for its Winter 2023 series.

Host Maya Jama has confirmed the date – and it’s just around the corner.

In a post shared on social media, Maya, 28, said: ‘Guys, I have some very, very exciting news.

‘The Love Island final is going to be on… drumroll please…Monday, March 13 on ITV2 and ITVX.’

So this is the last weekend of Winter Love Island!

How much is the prize money?

    There’s £50,000 up for grabs.

Could Shaq and Tanya take home the cash, despite their ups and downs? (Picture: ITV/Shutterstock)

Perhaps Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhenga will walk away with the prize money, now that they’re back together after her fling with Martin?

Or maybe farmer Will Young and Jessie Wynter – who forgave him after his antics in Casa Amor – could win it?

Could it be bombshells Tom Clare and Samie Elishi, who now seem stronger than ever despite what he got up to in Casa Amor.

Maybe Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins could take home the cash, even if their final date night looked like it was set at Shrek’s swamp.

Then again, we can’t discount teacher Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan despite scarring some of the nation with his leopard-print boxers and chocolate sauce.

However, don’t fret about the series ending, as it won’t be long before the summer series of Love Island takes to our screens (likely at some point in June 2023).

This will be the first year that two instalments of Love Island have aired – so it will be on our screens for a whopping four months, or a third of 2023.

In 2020, the first winter series of the show was supposed to be followed by a summer series – but the latter was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

What happens in the Love Island final?

In the Love Island final, the four remaining couples pour their hearts out to each other in romantic vows.

The results of the public vote are then revealed, in reverse order, from the fourth place couple until the winning couple is revealed.

In previous series, the couple have then been given the choice to either split the £50k prize money between them or steal it for themselves (which has never happened).

But in the last series this was scrapped and winners Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Saclimente were told the prize money would be split between them.

Winter Love Island 2023 continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 with an Unseen Bits episode, returning with a new episode on Sunday night at 9pm.
