Get set for Comic Relief 2023, when famous faces go all-out to make us smile and raise much-needed funds to fight child poverty.
There’s a host of highlights to look forward to this Red Nose Day , including one-off specials of The Traitors and popular sitcom Ghosts, plus a Love Island special, celebrity ‘auditions’ for Eurovision and the return of Blackadder.
Schools and workplaces up and down the country will be holding their own events, and there’s still time to get your red nose or other fun merchandise.
This year’s pop-up, flat-folding nose is a specially designed by ex-Apple creative Sir Jony Ive, who brought us the iMac, iPod and iPhone.
So when can you watch Comic Relief 2023 and which celebrities will be joining in?
Here’s what you need to know.
What time is Comic Relief on TV?

Comic Relief will air at 7pm on Friday, March 17, 2023.
The three-hour telethon will be broadcast live from Media City in Salford.
You can watch it on BBC1 and BBC iPlayer.
The BBC says the epic three-hour fundraising favourite ‘will entertain the nation with hilarious sketches, live performances, big surprises and stunning music acts, whilst raising much-needed cash for good causes at home and across the world’.
Earlier in the day, at 5pm, Blue Peter gets a Comic Relief makeover and is renamed Red Peter, for the first time in its 65-year history.

Which celebrities are taking part?
There’s a host of famous faces.
David Tennant will be live in the studio, along with Paddy McGuinness, Zoe Ball, Joel Dommett and AJ Odudu.
Kylie Minogue joins the Ghosts special, while Mary Berry, Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders join Claudia Winkleman for The Traitors spoof.

Maya Jama and voiceover Iain Sterling appear in the Love Island parody, while Tony Robinson reprises his role as Blackadder’s sidekick with a cunning plan, Baldrick – though there’s no Blackadder himself, Rowan Atkinson.

At 10pm on BBC2 (and iPlayer) some of the housemates who took part in Big Brother in 2001 for Comic Relief look back on their time, including winner Jack Dee (and his legendary escape attempt), plus Claire Sweeney, Keith Duffy and Anthea Turner.
Vanessa Feltz also recalls her meltdown in the Big Brother house when she started writing on the furniture.

Meanwhile, Graham Norton, Lulu and Sam Ryder form a spoof Eurovision judging panel where they ‘will have to sit through aspiring celebrity auditions of varying quality’.
Comic Relief 2023 airs on Friday, March 17 from 7pm on BBC1 and BBC iPlayer.
