West Ham fans banned from Europe as UEFA come down hard on Hammers
The Daily Express says West Ham United fans have been banned from attending the club’s next Europa League match against Rapid Wien at the end of the month. The Hammers have also been fined £29,305 in relation to crowd disturbances throughout their last outing in the competition.
A number of West Ham fans were reportedly ejected from the stadium during their 2-2 draw at Genk earlier this month after clashing with home supporters.
A brace from Said Benrahma put the visitors ahead before Tomas Soucek’s late own goal saw David Moyes’ side drop two points.
However, the match was marred by a few moments of trouble involving both sets of fans, who were spotted fighting with each other in the stands.
