Wendell Piece and Ben Stiller have led tributes to Lance Reddick after his death at 60.

The actor, who most notably starred in the Wire and John Wick, died earlier this morning.

His body was reportedly discovered at his home in LA, with his rep telling Deadline that he died of ‘natural causes’.

Following the news, a string of famous faces have shared their condolences to the late actor, reflecting on their best memories together.

Pierce, who starred opposite Reddick in the gritty HBO drama, tweeted: ‘A man of great strength and grace. As talented a musician as he was an actor. The epitome of class.

‘A sudden unexpected sharp painful grief for our artistic family. An unimaginable suffering for his personal family and loved ones. Godspeed my friend.

The Walking Dead star Jeffrey Dean Morgan said: ‘Ahhh… damn it. A big loss. @lancereddick. Rest in peace my man.

Halfway through re-watching THE WIRE comes the news that Lance Reddick has died at the horribly unfair age of 60. Wonderful actor; wonderful man. This is sad news.

Lance Reddick was an beautiful and compelling actor. And a beautiful person. He worked with my mom Anne Meara in her play “Afterplay”, playing Raziel, the waiter slash angel of death. He was exquisite in that and all he did.

    Nothing is lost. 💙

Stephen King agreed: ‘Halfway through re-watching THE WIRE comes the news that Lance Reddick has died at the horribly unfair age of 60.

Questlove shared: ‘I can’t take it no more. RIP Lance Reddick.’

News of Reddick’s death broke this afternoon, days after the New York premiere of John Wick, which he was notably absent for.

Although his co-stars, including Keanu Reeves and Rina Sawayama and Bridget Moynahan appeared on the red carpet, he was not in attendance.

A reason for his absence was not given, but he posted pictures of his adorable dogs on social media.

Fans were devastated over the news (Picture: HBO)

TMZ claims that he was due to appear on the Kelly Clarkson show in the next few days, to promote the franchise.

Reddick has been a staple of our screens for years, beginning his career in the 90s, before landing a starring role as Cedric Daniels in The Wire, which premiered in 2002.

Daniels was a firm favorite during the program’s four-year run, with the actor starring opposite Pierce, Dominic West, Idris Elba, and Michael K Williams.

Reddick made his debut as Charon in the first John Wick movie in 2014, and went on to reprise the role in all three sequels, including Chapter 4, which is due to be released this month.

His last film role will come as Benji Allen in the reboot of White Men Can’t Jump, a remake of the 1992 comedy.
