Heavy rain and thunderstorms will batter most of England and parts of Wales tomorrow with a chance of flooding, forecasters say.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning covering an area stretching from Kent to Cardiff to Middlesborough.
Those areas are at risk of flooding, spelling disruption to roads and train services.
They also warned that buildings may be damaged by lightning strikes, hail or strong winds.
The alert begins at 4am tomorrow and ends at 5am on Monday, with meteorologists urging people to wait until the weather clears before making non-essential journeys.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said: ‘A band of heavy rain will move northwards through Sunday morning, followed by scattered heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms during the afternoon.
‘Further heavy rain and thunderstorms are possible during Sunday evening and night, particularly across eastern parts of England, easing later.’

Up to 60 mm of rainfall is expected to fall in just two to three hours tomorrow, alongside gusty winds, lightning, and hail.
They added that there is a small chance communities could become cut off by the flooded roads, and power cuts could occur in the affected areas.
Temperatures are forecast to stay mild, reaching 17 both tomorrow and Monday.
The weather is expected to ease on Monday with no warnings issued for Tuesday.
