‘We f**king love yous’: Fontaines DC bring coolness to Glasgow TRNSMT stage

Wearing shades and a black vest as temperatures soared in the Glasgow Green, lead singer Grian Chatten kicked off their punk indie set with Sha Sha Sha and Skinty Fia taken from their latest album of the same name.

There was little chat from the band. Instead, they let the music do the talking with Televised Mind setting the tone for things to come.

The advisoral Life Ain’t Always Empty was the prelude to the Boys in the Better Land which sent the crowd wild.

Clearly, a festival anthem, Boyd in the Better Land had fans singing in unison.

While Jackie Down the Line delighted with Grain’s unique vocals showcased beautifully to the audience.

The band first played TRNSMT’s King Tuts stage a few years ago and since then have become a worldwide phenomenon.

Fresh from Glastonbury, they finished their set with Hero’s Death with Grain simply saying, “Hey Glasgow that’s all we’ve got for you now.

He then beamed: “We f**king love yous, sound”
