Manchester United legends Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo have sent messages to Marcus Rashford after he registered his 100th goal for the club.
United beat West Ham 1-0 on Sunday with Rashford scoring the only goal of the match in the first half.
It saw him become the 22nd player to score 100 goals for United in all competitions and the first to reach that total since Rooney in 2009.
The 24-year-old England international, who struggled at Old Trafford last season, has returned to form under new boss Erik ten Hag and has scored seven goals across 15 games this term.
After the win over West Ham, Rashford posted on Instagram: ‘100 goals for this special club!
‘I’ve been here since I was 7-years-old and came through every single age group and played on every single pitch so I want to thanks all the staff, my family and team-mates that have helped make this achievement possible.’
Rooney, who is United’s all-time leading goalscorer with 253, commented on his post and said: ‘Class @marcusrashford. Loads more to come.’
Ronaldo, meanwhile, who has scored 145 goals for United, added a ‘congratulations’ with a clapping emoji.
David de Gea lauded Rashford following Sunday’s victory, telling United’s website: ‘He has been here his whole life as a kid and as a first team player with experience already and he’s still very young.
‘He’s doing great. I think he can be one of the best players in the world if he keeps focused and training hard and performing well.

‘I think he’s a very, very good player and we are happy that he’s with us and playing the way he’s playing.’
Ten Hag’s side are up to fifth in the Premier League and they can leapfrog fourth-placed Newcastle if they win their game in hand.
It is now eight hours since United last conceded a goal at Old Trafford and after losing four consecutive games between May and August, the Red Devils have now won 11 of their last 15 games in all competitions.
United are back in action on Thursday when they travel to face Real Sociedad in the Europa League.
Their next Premier League game comes on Sunday with a trip to Unai Emery’s Aston Villa.
