Watch the GTA 6 Trailer 2 here now but something important is missing
After a year and a half, a second trailer for GTA 6 has emerged out of the blue and the one thing’s for sure: the graphics aren’t going to disappoint.
Only days after suddenly announcing the release date, Rockstar Games has dropped the long-awaited Trailer 2 for GTA 6 and visually it looks incredible, light years ahead of any other video game.
But there is an obvious problem, two really: a) you don’t really learn much new about the game, other than the male protagonist is indeed called Jason and b) there’s no actual gameplay footage.
The graphics are no doubt running in real-time using the game engine, so technically it’s probably all gameplay and some cut scenes, but at no point does Rockstar actually show anyone playing the game, which is a bit of a shame.
You don’t really learn anything about the plot either, especially as the first trailer already made it clear that Lucia (Jason’s girlfriend) is getting out of jail as the game starts and that both of them enjoy doing crimes together.
What are the main playable characters in GTA 6?
A short bio on Rockstar’s website describes Jason Duval as being ex-army, but reveals he now works for ‘local drug runners’.
Lucia Caminos is described as being in jail for ‘fighting for her family’ with only ‘sheer luck’ getting her out, as Rockstar very much play up the Bonnie and Clyde vibe that has long surrounded the characters.
A few other characters are also named on the website, including Cal Hampton (the slobbish looking guy in the Hawaiian shirt) who is said to be Jason’s friend and a conspiracy nut.

Boobie Ike is describe as a legitimate businessman, with a real estate empire, strip club, and recording studio, but the implication is that he’s the drug runner that Jason is working for.
Dre’Quan Priest is the musician that Boobie is trying to make a star, Bae-Luxe and Roxy (aka Real Dimex) are a pair of influencer twins, Raul Bautistia is an experienced bank robber, and Brian Heder is another drug runner.
Fans will no doubt discover more details over the coming days, from going through the trailer frame by frame, but there’s really not much else to say from a first glance.
Although it does seem as if heists are back, to judge by the truck chase and the bit where Lucia is nearly falling out of a plane.
The cops are also looking for them seemingly from the start, so they’re probably going to be on the run for most of the game.
Considering we still don’t have any solid gameplay info there’s got to be a third trailer at some point but, as with this one, it’s anyone’s guess as to when it will turn up.
As a reminder, the release date of GTA 6 is May 26, 2026, so never mind the trailer, it is going to be a long wait till you get to play it.
