Watch the Coronation Street moment Carla and Roy catch on to Stephen’s spiking

Coronation Street viewers will know that Carla Barlow (Alison King) has a history of mental health issues, which sick killer Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) took advantage of earlier this year for his own gain.

His aim was to gain complete control of Underworld by convincing the employees and business associates that Carla wasn’t up to the job.

To do this, he began spiking her with LSD, inducing similar symptoms to the psychosis she had suffered in 2019.

Though he succeeded in convincing her that she wasn’t well, with Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) even going so far as to pay for her to go back into hospital, his efforts to take over the factory have so far been in vain, with Carla having taken back control of the reigns since finding herself back on top form.

So far, Stephen has managed to get away with drugging Carla with zero consequences, but that could all be set to change in upcoming episodes, as Carla confides her suspicions in Roy.

After a conversation with business contact Lou, Carla learns that the symptoms of an LSD trip are identical to the ones she had been experiencing during her most recent ‘psychotic episode’.

As seen in the above preview clip, concerned Carla confides in close friend Roy Cropper (David Neilson) that she may not have been spiked at all, but instead drugged with LSD.
