Warning for 3m Tesco shoppers to use points before Aug 31 deadline (Picture: Tesco)
Run don’t walk to Tesco, because some of your Clubcard points may be expiring at the end of the month.
An eye-watering three million of us Tesco shoppers have mere week to use our Clubcard points before we lose them. In fact, the fast approaching deadline to use your points is August 31.
The supermarket claims there is more than £11.5 million worth of Clubcard points that are set to expire at the end of this month.
The points which were issued in August 2021 have to be redeemed within two years, meaning shoppers can exchange points for vouchers to spend in store or online to save some dosh.
Alternatively you can swap your vouchers for money off your Tesco mobile bill – after all, gossiping on the phone is better when it costs less.

If you’re a foodie then your points can be doubled in value to spend at restaurants like Zizzi or Pizza Express for a cheap and cheerful meal.
Your amassed points can also help fun days out for the family or even holidays, with shoppers being able to use them at Alton Towers and Hotels.com.
Unfortunately, you can no longer triple your points after Tesco change that policy earlier this year.

Still, there are other ways to make savings. If you’re someone who drives to work, your vouchers can help you cut your fuel costs – with Tesco customers getting one point for every two litres of fuel rather than every £2 spent.
But having a deadline to redeem your points isn’t a new phenomenon, because Tesco last had shoppers rushing to redeem £15 million worth of vouchers before May 31.
If like us you have no clue how many points you’ve amassed so far, then just head to the app and select your account and select statements.
