Vin Diesel has been described as ‘gross and creepy’ after an interview he gave in 2016 resurfaced online – amid fresh accusations of sexual battery.
The 56-year-old, real name Mark Sinclair, has been accused of sexual battery by a former assistant during the filming of Fast Five, the fifth film in the Fast and Furious franchise.
Asta Jonasson filed a lawsuit in LA on Thursday, detailing an alleged incident in 2010, something that the actor has denied, describing the allegations as ‘outlandish’
After the claims were published, footage of an old interview has gone viral from the press tour of XXX: The Return of Zander Cage, showing him speaking to Brazilian YouTube star Carol Moreira about the movie – in which he kept pausing to brand her ‘beautiful’ and ‘f**king sexy’.
In the clip, he said: ‘God you’re so beautiful, you’re so beautiful man, am I right or wrong? Look at her? How am I supposed to do this interview?
‘Tell me your story, let’s get out of here, let’s go have lunch. God I love her, look how beautiful she is.’

Moreira thanked him for the comments and attempted to get the chat back on track with more questions, before he continued: ‘Look how beautiful she is. You guys think this is a joke, how am I supposed to sit here when I’m looking at such beauty?
‘She’s so beautiful, I’m in love.’
As the interview drew to a close, he said: ‘I love you. I love her. Man, she’s so f**king sexy. I can’t do this interview. Look at her.
‘What’s wrong? Am I the only one that’s saying this? She’s so f**king beautiful it’s like, you can’t even do an interview with her.’
Getting off his seat and crawling towards her, Diesel added: ‘Someone save me, when did this turn into beautiful world? When did this turn into the most gorgeous girl in Brazil? When did this turn into, “I love you”?’
The footage re-emerged on Reddit, where fans took aim at the star’s antics.
‘I couldn’t make it through fifteen seconds of that, good lord what a schmuck,’ one said, as another agreed: ‘It makes me want to crawl out of my skin.’
‘Excruciatingly cringy and painful to watch. That interviewer looked mortified; I feel awful for her for having to maintain a professional facade during that,’ a viewer penned.
‘Oh wow. That’s so gross. That poor woman. How uncomfortable must it have been when he charged her and got all up in her face,’ a Reddit user wrote.
‘She had been grinning and bearing it, but when he turned away, she dropped her mask for a second; so many of us can relate to that feeling of disgust and discomfort.’
‘Omf what did I just watch?? At one point I was like “surely this is just a weird loop/edit of him saying one creepy thing” but no, no it was not. God I felt so badly for her [sic],’ an unimpressed fan penned.
‘I thought was going to cringe myself to death by watching this. I felt so uncomfortable,’ a commenter complained.

As a follower added: ‘Genuinely seems like it is a loop but nope he’s just that creepy, relentless and socially oblivious.’
After the interview first went viral, Moreira shared that she was feeling ‘uncomfortable’ during the scenes.
‘He began to hit on me in the middle of the interview, say that I was pretty, and he interrupted the interview three times to talk about it,’ she said at the time.
‘I was laughing, completely uncomfortable. I was not sure what to do.
‘I just laughed because it was a very delicate situation. I did not like it. At the time I did not know how to react, but you will see that I was uncomfortable, it was not nice that he interrupted my work.’

In a new lawsuit obtained by Vanity Fair, film graduate Jonasson claims she was hired by Diesel’s company, One Race, to work for him in Atlanta.
The suit reportedly claims that her job was to organize parties, and remain close to the Guardians of the Galaxy star at events, in case he was photographed with women who were not his long-term girlfriend.
It was alleged that she was asked to wait in his suite at the St Regis hotel while he entertained hostesses from a club, before they were left alone in the room – where he allegedly ‘grabbed Ms Jonasson’s wrists, one with each of his hands, and pulled her onto the bed’.
She reportedly asked him to stop and escaped his grasp, waiting by the door for him to leave.
It was there that he allegedly groped her breasts and kissed her chest.
‘Ms Jonasson was afraid to more forcibly refuse her supervisor, knowing that getting him out of that room was both crucial to her personal safety and job security,’ the documents claimed.

‘But this hope died when Vin Diesel dropped to his knees, pushed Ms Jonasson’s dress up toward her waist, and molested her body, running his hands over Ms Jonasson’s upper legs, including her inner thighs.’
Diesel allegedly moved to pull down her underwear, to which Jonasson screamed and ran down the hallway toward the bathroom – he is said to have followed her and pinned her to the wall, placing her hand on his erect penis as she verbally refused.
He reportedly masturbated while ‘Ms Jonasson closed her eyes, trying to dissociate from the sexual assault and avoid angering him’.
Following the alleged incident, Diesel’s sister, Samantha Vincent – who also served as president of the company – is said to have called and sacked the assistant after only two weeks in the role.
‘It was clear to her that she was being fired because she was no longer useful – Vin Diesel had used her to fulfill his sexual desires and she had resisted his sexual assaults,’ the paperwork said.
Jonasson, who signed a nondisclosure agreement when accepting the job, also alleged that another One Race supervisor called her to his room at the same hotel while she was on duty, and took off his shirt, got into bed before instructing her to join him.

The lawsuit accuses Diesel and his production of an attempted cover up of events – including sex discrimination, intentional infliction of emotional distress, hostile work environment, wrongful termination, and retaliation.
The recent Speak Out Act, preventing NDAs in instances of sexual assault and harassments, alongside California’s AB2777 – which temporarily waives statutes of limitations for sexual abuse allegations occurring in 2009 or later – contributed to her coming forward.
Diesel’s lawyer has denied the accusations in a statement, branding the claims ‘outlandish’.
‘Let me be very clear: Vin Diesel categorically denies this claim in its entirety,’ he said. ‘This is the first he has ever heard about this more than 13-year-old claim made by a purportedly 9-day employee.
‘There is clear evidence which completely refutes these outlandish allegations.’
