Widowed mum-of-two will ‘have to choose between food and heating’ as Universal Credit uplift ends
The i says a 35-year-old widow whose life was “turned upside down once again” by Covid-19 will have to choose between food or putting on the heating once the Universal Credit uplift ends.
Full-time sales executive Stacey, 35, from Yate near Bristol, is a single mum to two girls aged seven and five.
In October, she will join six million people who will see their income fall overnight after the Government rejected calls to make the £20-a-week increase permanent.
