Una Healy has weighed into the Love Island single parents debate, and insisted she won’t be applying.
The Romance Retreat is coming to ITV1 with Davina McCall at the helm, after previously ‘begging’ ITV to let her host a middle-aged version.
However, some people aren’t best pleased after finding out that applicants have to already have children of their own to take part.
On ITV’s page encouraging people to sign up, it reads: ‘ITV1 are looking for vibrant single parents from across the UK who are in search of love, for a brand new dating show!
‘This is the ONLY dating show where single parents can search for love, by spending time in a luxury retreat, where all the parents have been nominated by their grown up children.’
But Una won’t be signing up.

Taking to her Instagram stories, the former Saturdays singer wrote: ‘So anyone “middle aged” without kids can’t apply?’
The 41-year-old mum-of-two added: ‘This is very unfair in my eyes… either way… I won’t be applying’.
Una shares Tadhg John, seven, and Aoife Belle, ten, with ex Ben Foden, who she split from in 2018.
This comes after Una confirmed she’s single after supposedly being in a ‘throuple’ with boxer David Haye and Sian Osborne.

She became romantically linked to the couple earlier this year after she was photographed enjoying a holiday to Marrakech, Morocco with them.
And while none of the three officially addressed the rumours, David, 42, appeared to confirm their relationship on Valentine’s Day in a fiery Instagram tribute post. as he paid tribute to the ‘Queens’ in his life.
However, the romance was not to last, as Una confirmed: ‘I am single and raising my two children, just like many other single parents – both men and women – doing a great job. I am a single parent. I don’t like the term single mother as it has negative connotations.
‘You can’t do it all by yourself. There is no shame in asking for help, be that from childcare, family or friends.’

Una continued to The Irish Mirror: ‘I am often asked how I juggle it all as a single parent but men aren’t asked that.
‘In fact, I can never remember a time when I heard a man being asked how he juggles it all. Mothers don’t have a choice if they are single – you just get on with it.’
Big Brother star Davina confirmed she’d be hosting Romance Retreat earlier this week, saying: ‘Omg.. i manifested and it came true !! I’ll be hosting a brand NEW grown up dating series for ITV1!
