Ukrainian refugee crisis will cost Ireland from next year, Taoiseach warns
The Independent says the Ukrainian refugee crisis will start to cost Ireland from 2023, the Taoiseach has said.
An estimated 14,611 Ukrainians have arrived in Ireland since the Russian invasion began on February 24, with 30,000 expected by the end of April.
There have been 22,657 offers of accommodation by the public to date, and the Irish government is considering a tented facility at the Defence Forces’ camp in Gormanston, reports claim.
