UK weather – Yellow warning for heavy rain & flooding as summer washout continues – but 30C scorcher is just days away
The Sun says BRITAIN is set for yet more washouts as a yellow weather warning has been issued for heavy rain and flooding – but a 30C scorcher is only days away.
Southwest Scotland is set for a torrential downpour as residents have been warned homes and businesses could flood, the Met Office said.
The warning also extends to local bus and train services with travellers warned services are likely to be affected.
The Met Office added: “A period of heavy rain during Tuesday may lead to some minor flooding for southwest Scotland.
“Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer.”
