UK weather: Exactly where thunder and lightning will strike today as UK hit by storms
Daily Mirror says After a string of sunny days and blue skies, Brits might have to wave goodbye to summer with temperatures set to tumble amid a deluge of rain and strong winds.
Even as temperatures pushed towards 28C in places yesterday, and Brits scrambled to get out and enjoy the late August weather, things look set to take a wet turn today. Parts of the country are going to be battered by downpours and wind as the Met Office previously issued a thunderstorm weather warning.
The yellow weather warning, no longer in place, initially cautioned of thunderstorms moving through the English Channel and bringing disruption to the south coast.
This is where it is set to be hit worst today and could see frequent lightning, hail and up to an inch of rain all along the south coast from west to east.
