UK to send 600 troops to Afghanistan to help Britons leaving country as Taliban advances
The i says around 600 British troops are being deployed to Afghanistan to provide “protection and logistical support” for British nationals leaving the country.
Defence Secretary Ben Wallace announced that he had authorised the extra troops to “support the diplomatic presence” in light of increasing violence in the country.
The troops will arrive in Kabul in the coming days, the Government said.
