Prince Andrew served with US legal papers in Virginia Giuffre’s sexual assault case
The i says Prince Andrew has been served with a sexual assault lawsuit by Virginia Giuffre’s legal team after relevant paperwork of the civil case was delivered to his lawyer in the US.
Court papers from the US District Court in Manhattan show Ms Giuffre’s lawyers sent the civil lawsuit to the Duke of York’s Los Angeles-based lawyer Andrew Brettler by email and FedEx, and both copies had been received by Monday morning, Reuters reported.
The email was sent on 17 September while the physical papers were delivered on Monday, the legal document claims. They were left with the front desk of Mr Brettler’s office in Los Angeles, according to the FedEx receipt.
