UK to end sale of new diesel and petrol lorries by 2040
The i says the sale of all new polluting road vehicles will be phased out in the next two decades under decarbonisation plans announced by the Transport Secretary on Tuesday.
Grant Shapps announced that the Government would look to end the sale of new diesel and petrol lorries by 2040, following a recommendation from the National Infrastructure Commission and a new consultation.
