Two women were killed and four others injured after a quad bike collided with a car in a Boxing Day hit-and-run crash.
Emergency services were called to Shard End in Birmingham shortly after 8pm on Tuesday after a quad bike collided with a BMW 4 Series and a MG ZS
Two women in the MG, one aged in her 40s and the other in her 70s, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Four other people, including a baby, were rushed to hospital where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
West Midland Police have not confirmed which vehicles the injured victims had been travelling in.
The crash happened at the busy junction of Kitts Green Road and Mackadown Road.
The BMW driver fled the scene but a man was arrested a short time later on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

A police spokesperson said: ‘He is currently in hospital and will be spoken to when deemed medically fit to be questioned.’
Another man was also arrested for assisting an offender and is currently in custody for questioning.
The quad bike left the scene and police are hunting identify the rider.
