Two women have been arrested after they reportedly attempted to climb over a barrier during King Charles’s mini coronation.
The pair, aged 20 and 21, were understood to be protesting against the ceremony when they were detained.
Police Scotland tweeted: ‘Two women – aged 20 and 21 – have been arrested in connection with a breach of the peace after allegedly attempting to climb over a crowd safety barrier on the Royal Mile, Edinburgh.
‘Our priority is public safety, balanced against people’s rights #RoyalWeek.’
