Twitch suspends 7-year-old Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 whiz kid

A seven-year-old Call Of Duty player has been suspended from Twitch, even with his dad keeping a watchful eye.

When it comes to enforcing its terms of service, Twitch isn’t afraid to swing the ban hammer at any creators who step out of line. The guidelines not only dictate what content streamers can post, but also who is eligible to use the platform.

As you’d expect, Twitch strictly prohibits anyone under the age of 13 from streaming on the platform, with additional rules in place for those between that age and legal adulthood.

Despite being under the constant supervision of his dad, the Twitch account of a seven-year-old Modern Warfare 2 prodigy was suspended due to this very rule.

While streaming on Twitch, Joey rose to the top 7% of ranked Call Of Duty players, surpassing even highly skilled adult gamers.

Before his channel got banned, the young streamer had amassed a following of nearly 1,000 as he attempted to climb through the ranks.

Having always played alongside his dad, who is now appealing the ban, the father-son duo is attempting to regain control of their channel.

The possibility of Twitch reversing its decision is slim, since having parental supervision would only pose a valid exception for children above the age of 13.

Not long ago an 11-year-old Valorant player faced the same outcome even though he also had his dad with him for all his streams.

On the other hand, a seven-year-old Warzone player managed to slip through undetected and even secured the title of the youngest player to detonate a nuke in the game.

As with most shooters, Call Of Duty is recommended for players over the age of 18, as it contains violent scenes and foul language.

Joey’s achievement of reaching Diamond 3, a high rank in Call Of Duty, at such a young age is undoubtedly a testament to his talent. However, for the time being, he will have to keep his skills away from the public eye.

Nooooooo, Twitch have suspended JoDogs account 💔💔 fingers crossed we can get this turned round. Dad and Joey have worked so hard to get where they are 😢 #twitch pic.twitter.com/w2Wm4F7xoZ
