Streaming star xQc is not impressed by the graphics in Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom and complains they make Link look ‘sad.’
Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom is the most highly anticipated game of the year, but up until this week there’s been very little information of footage to judge it by.
The recent new gameplay video revealed a lot more details though, including several new abilities for protagonist Link and a clearer look at how the game’s ‘sky islands’ work.
Despite the positive reception from most fans, Minecraft streamer xQc expressed his disappointment with its graphics, suggesting that the plethora of new features wasn’t enough to satisfy him.
Repeatedly stating that it must be a joke, xQc expressed his frustration with the limitations of the Nintendo Switch console.
The Twitch star even went as far as claiming that ‘telephones are better’ at delivering superior graphics and performance.
‘Look at poor [Link], he is so sad, look. Look at him. I can’t even see his face, I can’t even see his mouth,’ xQc said during his stream.
Although he was very negative about the visuals, xQc did commend the new Fuse and Ultrahand abilities that allow you to merge weapons and items to produce original creations.

Still, he couldn’t shake off the thought that bosses – which weren’t shown in the video – would be undermined due to all the possible Fuse combinations.
‘Like this boss needs to be frozen, right? You enter the arena and there’s like eight things on the ground, and they all give you ice, well I wonder what I’m going to use,’ xQc wondered.
He finished off by expressing his hope that the content featured in the trailer was merely a consequence of the game being incomplete, and not indicative of its final form. Which is a pretty silly thing to say as the game is out in little more than a month’s time, on May 12.
