Liz Truss is poised to reverse yet more elements of Kwasi Kwarteng’s mini-budget, with a U-turn on corporation tax expected this weekend, writes The Independent.

The paper says s reversal looms, Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng has declared ‘I’m not going anywhere’ – rejecting suggestions he should step down. 

The front page leads with an image of nurse Lucy Letby as her trial continues. Evidence presented yesterday included a post-it note that said ‘I did it, I am evil’. The nurse denies the charges of murdering seven babies and attempting to kill even more.
