If your summer plans involve staying closer to home, you’re in luck.
Tripadvisor has recently announced some of the must-visit experiences in the UK, as part of its Travellers’ Choice Awards.
Taking 12 months of review data into account, the platform has come up with the top 10 overall experiences – alongside 10 further sub categories including top picks for food, nature, cruises and more.
And it’s good news if you love amusement and water parks, as the UK ranks highly for 2023.
Blackpool Pleasure Beach was named one of the best in the world, climbing six places from last year to number eight. This was followed closely by The Milky Way Adventure Park in Clovelly, Devon, in tenth position.
Alton Towers Resort and Drayton Manor Theme Park also made the global list, coming in at 10 and 12, respectively.
In terms of the unmissable UK experiences to add to your list, the Historic Pub Walking Tour of London takes the crown overall, while the High-Speed Thames River Cruise comes in second and the Chocolatorium Chocolate Tour Experience in Edinburgh scoops third place.

Also, with half of global travellers prioritising attractions on their upcoming trips this summer, it’s a good thing Tripadvisor’s new Summer Travel Index sheds light on some of the best.
If you’re travelling to Edinburgh soon, be sure to pay a visit to the Royal Yacht Britannia – as it was named the top UK attraction in the rankings.
This was followed by the National Gallery and the Tower of London coming in second and third place, respectively. And why not complete your trip to the capital with a visit to the British Museum and Tower Bridge – both of which also made it into the top 10.
Likewise, Edinburgh has plenty to get stuck into with National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh Castle, and The Real Mary King’s Close all featuring on the list.
Happy booking.
