US politics is dominating the online space – as well as the UK broadsheets. It’s not as popular on the front pages of the tabloids but remains a lead story on websites and social media.

Trending – Kamala Harris in race for the White House

US politics remains the number one trending story across the world today – both online and in print, as the race for the White House heats up. All eyes have now turned from President Joe Biden to his Vice President Kamala Harris, following Biden’s announcement he won’t seek re-election but will see out the rest of his term as president.

The UK newspapers report Harris has enough support to clinch the Democratic nomination. The papers discuss the millions of dollars of donations pouring into the Democratic campaign, the heavyweight Democratic figures coming out in support of Harris and what a Harris-Trump election fight would look like. The US heads to the polls in November to elect their next president, who will take office in January 2025.
