Treat Williams’ daughter spoken out over her pain in the wake of his death at the age of 71.
The actor, most known for his roles in Hair and Everwood, died on Monday after being thrown from his motorbike.
Tributes poured in from Hollywood as Sharon Stone and Kim Cattrall offered their condolences on social media.
In a new post on Instagram, Elinor ‘Ellie’ Williams shared her grief over the loss of her dad, and thanked those who had reached out to the family.
‘This is a pain I have never felt,’ the 25-year-old wrote beside a throwback photo on her story. ‘I am absolutely shattered.
‘Thank you to everyone who has sent messages and kept our family in your hearts during this terrible heartbreak.’
Treat’s death was confirmed in a statement from his agent, Barry McPherson, at the beginning of the week.
‘He was killed this afternoon. He was making a left or a right (and) a car cut him off,’ it read. ‘I’m just devastated. He was the nicest guy. He was so talented.
‘He was an actor’s actor. Filmmakers loved him. He’s been the heart of Hollywood since the late 1970s.
‘He was really proud of his performance this year. He’s been so happy with the work that I got him. He’s had a balanced career.’

According to reports, police officers have said that Treat was thrown from his motorbike in Vermont after being hit by an SUV turning left into a car park.
Wendell Pierce led tributes after the sad news emerged, tweeting: ‘Treat Williams was a passionate, adventurous, creative man. In a short period of time, he quickly befriended me & his adventurous spirit was infectious.
‘We worked on just 1 film together but occasionally connected over the years. Kind and generous with advice and support. RIP.’
‘Just heard the awful news that the world has lost @Rtreatwilliams,’ Mark Hamill agreed.
‘Such a wonderful person… such a gifted actor… such a treasured friend. I’m gutted. #RIP_Pal.’
John Travolta added: ‘Treat Williams and I got our start together in NYC appearing in 2 Broadway shows, Grease and Over Here.
‘I’m so sorry Treat. My thoughts are with you and your family. You will be missed.’
