Last month James Maddison proclaimed Tottenham are no longer Spursy after an impressive 2-2 draw at Arsenal and since then he has been proved correct.
The boys from White Hart Lane went into the international break as Premier League leaders and can regain pole position if they start the week by beating Fulham in N17.
They can then cement that spot by crossing the Thames on Friday and taking maximum points off a Crystal Palace team still smarting from Saturday’s 4-0 hiding at Newcastle.
Tottenham have successfully sidestepped one potential banana skin by winning 1-0 at Luton despite having to play the second half with ten men.
They had followed the point against the Gunners with the controversial victory at home to Liverpool then enjoyed a double celebration as manager Ange Postecoglou was named manager of the month for September with captain Heung-min Son the player of the month.
That followed a double accolade four weeks earlier with Big Ange being the manager of the month for August while midfielder Maddison won the players’ award.
The red flag for Monday Night Football is that Fulham knocked Spurs out of the Carabao Cup earlier in the campaign by winning a penalty shoot-out.
The Cottagers can be very dangerous when they are on song and they drew 2-2 at Arsenal, despite finishing with ten men.
But they have taken most of their points against bottom feeders so far this term and were trounced 5-1 at Manchester City and lost 2-0 at home to Chelsea before the enforced rest.
Tottenham started the campaign at a general 50/1 to win the league and are now as short as 11/1 with BoyleSports among others.
It’s still fanciful for them to be crowned champions but 5/4 with William Hill for Tottenham to finish in the top four looks about right.

They are 11/1 with bet365 to beat Fulham 3-1, making over 3.5 goals look good at 13/10 with the same firm.
Son, meanwhile is 4/1 with BoyleSports to score his seventh league goal of the season by breaking the deadlock and he’s 11/10 with bet365 to find the net at any time.
• San Francisco have quickly established themselves as one of the hottest teams in the NFL and the 49ers are 4/6 with BoyleSports to win their Monday Night Football trip to the Minnesota Vikings by more than a three-point field goal.
• A NEW NBA season starts this week and the Phoenix Suns are worth an each-way bet at 7/1 with BoyleSports to win the title.
A three-way blockbuster trade with Milwaukee and Portland has added depth to a roster already featuring Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal and if they take time to gel simply double down on your bet if their odds drift.
The common consensus is the Suns will be hotter than the scorching temperatures in Arizona when the playoffs start next summer.
