Tottenham boss Antonio Conte loses second Spurs starter to injury ahead of Leeds clash
The Daily Express says Tottenham boss Antonio Conte will be forced into a rethink when he names his starting XI to face Leeds on Sunday after losing Cristian Romero to injury. The centre-back, who signed on an initial loan from Atalanta earlier this summer, picked up a muscle injury whilst playing for Argentina in a World Cup qualifier against Brazil last night.
Romero was seen clutching his hamstring early in the second half and was therefore taken off the field.
The defender appeared to be in pain when feeling the strain, which would suggest the problem will rule him out of this weekend’s contest at the very least.
He is set to undergo scans on the injury before returning to Hotspur Way.
