On Thursday night, Tottenham announced both the signing of Radu Dragusin and that Eric Dier is joining Bayern Munich on loan.
Dragusin joins from Genoa in a deal worth £26million and in order to sweeten the deal, young Tottenham right-back Djed Spence has moved to the Serie A club on loan for the rest of the season.
The centre-back has penned a six-and-a-half year contract and will wear the No.6 shirt, last worn by Davinson Sanchez.
Dragusin could well make his debut for Ange Postecoglou’s side this Sunday when they travel to Manchester United for a huge Premier League clash.
Bayern Munich made a late swoop to sign the 21-year-old, but he opted to join the North Londoners rather than the German giants.
Signing a centre-back was Postecoglou’s top priority this transfer window and the Romania International has been one of Serie A’s top defenders this season.

He becomes Spurs’ second January signing after Timo Werner joined on loan from RB Leipzig.
Soon after the signing was confirmed, Tottenham announced that they had agreed a deal to send Dier on loan to Bayern for the rest of the season, with an option to make the transfer permanent.

The England International has been tipped to reunite with former teammate Harry Kane for some time now, and after the Bundesliga champions missed out on Dragusin they quickly moved to secure Dier’s signature.
It brings to an end the 29-year-old near decade long stay at Spurs, with whom he made 365 appearances.
