The FT – Sunak suffers heavy blow as Tory Rwanda revolt swells
The Financial Times says Rishi Sunak suffered the biggest revolt of his premiership over the Rwanda bill as dozens of MPs voted for an amendment seeking to toughen up the legislation.
The paper suggests that Sunak is calculating that rebel Tories won’t risk sinking the bill completely when MPs vote on it on Wednesday because of the anger they’d face from their constituents.
