Tom Fletcher has revealed his seven-year-old son Buddy considers his famous dad ‘rock and roll’ but not because of his rockstar credentials.
The 37-year-old McFly frontman explained in a new chat with Metro.co.uk that it was actually his (rather grim) toilet antics that recently left Buddy impressed.
Catching up with Tom and his McFly bandmate Danny Jones at Guns and Roses’ BST Hyde Park show last month, we asked him whether he’s as rock and roll as he used to be in the early days of McFly.
‘We’ve had our moments [of being rock and roll],’ he began.
‘I used to jump into a crowd. I’ve crowd-surfed too.’
Doting dad Tom – who also shares sons Buzz and Max with his wife Giovanna Fletcher – then added: ‘Buddy says it was quite rock and roll when I once did a poo without locking the door!
‘Now having a full dairy yogurt rather than a coconut-based yogurt is rock and roll for me!’

Meanwhile, 37-year-old Danny quipped: ‘I am the most rock and roll now [in McFly].
‘I’ll have a beer after a show, I might stay up in the hotel bar for another beer. But then I’ll put a face mask on and go to bed.’

He might not be quite as rock and roll as he once was, but Tom’s certainly just as funny.
On Friday, he revealed he’d opened social media to discover his face has miraculously appeared in a man’s belly.
Tom shared the incredible image on his Instagram page, giving his followers a right laugh as he asked: ‘Why is my face there? WHY?!’
Originally posted on Twitter, the meme shows a topless man bending over as the folds in his skin bizarrely resemble Tom’s side profile.
Accompanied by a selfie of Tom, well, it’s hard to unsee it.
Taking to the comments, McBusted bandmate Matt Willis hailed it ‘the best thing I have ever seen on the internet’.
He also came through with a top-tier pun, writing: ‘Tum fletcher’.
