Tokyo Olympics: Intense heat and humidity leaves athletes struggling in 33C temperatures

With temperatures set to exceed 35C and high humidity, the Tokyo Olympics could become the hottest Games on record.

Athletes have already started to speak out about the challenges of competing in the Japanese capital’s scorching heat.

Men’s tennis World No. 1 Novak Djokovic has described the climate as some of the worst heat he’s ever experienced.
