Tokyo 2020: Mallory Franklin through to canoe slalom final as Team GB seeks 17th Olympics medal
The i says Mallory Franklin has qualified for the final of the women’s C1 canoe slalom as Team GB seeks a 17th medal at the Olympic Games.
The world No 2 was fastest in the heats but a mistake on an upstream gate cost her in the semi-finals, with Australian world champion Jessica Fox posting the fastest time.
Franklin, 27, only needed to finish in the top 10, though, and achieved that comfortably to move through to the final in sixth.
