Todd Boehly speaks out on Chelsea’s woeful season amid growing fan backlash
Chelsea chairman Todd Boehly has urged supporters to trust the process as pressure continues to ramp up on the owners amid the club’s ongoing struggles.
The west Londoners suffered yet another miserable afternoon on Saturday as they were held to a 2-2 draw by 10-man Burnley at Stamford Bridge, with the result leaving the side marooned in 11th place in the Premier League table.
Incredibly, Chelsea are now closer to the relegation places than the top four and their hopes of qualifying for Europe next season are dwindling each week.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino has come under fire, as have the players, but the main subject of ire has been Chelsea’s ownership, BlueCo – the consortium led by Boehly, Clearlake Capital, Mark Walter and Hansjorg Wyss.
